Guided by a robust constitution that outlines our core principles and governance, NUHPSW is dedicated to advancing the rights, welfare, and professional development of workers in the hospitality and related sectors.<\/p>\n<p>Under the leadership of General Secretary Comrade Eniojukan Leke Success, who has served since December 1, 2014, our union benefits from a wealth of experience and strong international affiliations. Our structure includes both elected and appointed leaders, each bringing expertise to various facets of the union, as well as specialised departments that ensure effective representation and support for our members nationwide.[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=&#8221;20px&#8221;][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243; css=&#8221;.vc_custom_1517841006644{padding-right: 8vh !important;}&#8221;][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221; animation=&#8221;animation fade-in&#8221;]Since our inaugural conference at the Cultural Centre in Benin on October 31, 1977, NUHPSW has established a robust administrative structure spanning all Nigerian states. Within our first year of operation, we successfully launched nine state councils across Rivers, Imo, Bendel, Kano, Oyo, Kwara, Anambra, Kaduna, and Lagos states, each supported with initial grants to ensure effective local representation. Our commitment to member communication led us to become the first trade union in Nigeria to publish a magazine, launching &#8220;The Caretaker Magazine&#8221; and NUHPSW News in 1979 to disseminate trade union information and defend worker interests.<\/p>\n<p>NUHPSW&#8217;s achievements include establishing the National Joint Industrial Council (NJIC) with employers in 1980, creating industry-wide agreements for negotiations and dispute resolution. Our union demonstrates a commitment to member welfare by securing terminal benefits for displaced workers and pursuing legal action against employers who violate due process. We completed our National Secretariat building in Abuja within eighteen months, commissioned in November 2008, establishing a permanent presence in the Federal Capital
